Where I've beenLately I've begun to feel that deviantART is not visual enough. In favor of community, I think it's complicated itself with journals, news, polls, devWEAR, etc. There're so many features ABOUT art, that I think the art itself has been obscured. The art should be highlighted in the inbox! Art from my watchers should be large, and it shouldn't be buried in stacks and stacks of other things. It should be a constant stream. We should have art flowing from the sides and the top, but at the current stage, I'm just overwhelmed by all the other bits and bobs. I love all of its features; they're awesome if you have time to use them, but when you don't, it's a hassle. I only have been logging in lately to look at some of my favorite artists' art, and even that's not as streamlined as I think it could be.Tumblr is the most successful visual format, I've realized. An endless display of large visuals? It doesn't have community as much, but it sure does make it quick and easy to get envelope
Sick ComputerI am having some computer/internet woes, and as a result, my online activity will be limited for a few days as I get them sorted out. I will be around a bit, and checking in, so if you need me, please Note me. Hope to get the issues fixed soon.In the meantime, if you haven't seen, the winners of the Emote Awards have been announced. Also, look at the very cute badges `Synfull made for me and `Krissi001 for hosting the awards this year. Thank you so much, Karen.I hope to be back soon with updates and articles and all that!In the meantime, I was fortunate to place and get an Honorable Mention in two recent lit contests. So, if you're interested... Oh, and please don't forget. I'd love to get a nice turn-out. And any pimpage you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
*shake computer*My computer is sick and my internet has been wonky the last couple of days. Plus a bit of RL drama has eclipsed the recent online shenanigans. I'll be a bit MIA for the next few days as I deal with all of this. But I will be checking-in, so Note me or comment here if you really need me. You can also check my Twitter for updates. https://twitter.com/mirz333Until then, some lovely art I've received as gifts and commishes...
HouseOkay, today we go and sign the paper on buying a house. It has taken months, and the last so many have been a pain in the arse, but the day is finally here. We have been moving stuff into the garage since Saturday, but still seem to have so much more to move. I really hate moving and I am so glad this should be my last time for a long time. All this moving has made it very hard to find 'net time. And it is going to be a little longer until I have real net time again. I lose it tomorrow and won't get it back until Friday sometime. So, thank you to everyone who left comments, drawings, and just general wishes for my birthday. I plan on replying to them all, it is just going to take some time. And I will hopefully update the EMTC journal this weekend, keep making entries!!And, on a final note....so pretty Carl.

Writing MemeThe original is here: 1. When did you start writing? As soon as I could write. My earliest efforts were comics, because drawing was easier for me. My father still has a comic I drew when I was six about a boy who went to watch fireworks with his family and got scared by the noise.2. When you were a beginning writer, what did your write primarily? What do you write now, primarily? (i.e. romance, fan-fiction, poetry)I used to write primarily science-fiction. I still do, actually. (But not as much fan-fiction.)3. How often do you write?Whenever I can, which isn't often. 4. When is your favorite time of the day to write?Early in the morning, when it's quiet in the house.5. Do you have a writing muse? If so, who/what?Not sure what a muse is, to be honest. I guess `mirz-alt, since she inspires me to write. She's also my editor. 6. What is your most popular lit piece?I co-write a lot of stuff with `mirz-alt
A few features=KiaraJoy writes,The Inspirations artbook is a collaborative project between 76 deviantART members, put together by =KiaraJoy. Each of the artists is allowed two entries into the book, so it will have between 76-150 pieces of artwork! The proceeds of this book will go towards purchasing and putting together packs of Crayola art supplies for children that will be signed up for it. All images in the book are made with Crayola products - crayons, markers, colored pencils, paints, oil pastels or chalk. We have some really amazing submissions in already, and I can't wait until the last one is in!The book can be preordered now and also
